Starting individual counselling is similar to driving. You are in the driving seat, and as your counsellor, I am sitting next to you in the passenger seat. You set a goal similar to a destination, and this determines the direction we drive in. I work with you to help you achieve your goals and improve your mental health.
I offer counselling in a safe, nonjudgmental, and confidential space in Burnaby and online. It takes courage to start your healing journey, and I admire your strength in reaching out. I am here to support you every step of the way. You are in safe hands at At Ease Counselling.
I support individuals on a range of issues, and my areas of practice include anxiety, BIPOC, childhood abuse, depression, intergenerational trauma, life transition, self-esteem, shame, stress, and trauma.
I am trained in various counselling modalities, including Acceptance commitment therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, emotionally focused couples therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, solution-focused brief therapy, strengths-based counseling, person-centered counselling, and culturally sensitive counselling.
Counselling sessions are client-driven, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive. People from all ethnic backgrounds, genders, and sexual orientations, including 2SLGBTQ+, are welcome.
